The AACCessible Culture project results continues in Madeira, Portugal! 
This time, students on the Tourism Technical course (level 4 EQF) had the opportunity to take a guided tour using the Guidebook created in the AACCessible culture project.
The Guidebook is a tool that can be useful, not only for people with disabilities but also for anyone else, as it consists of a simplified presentation of the content presented in the museum. The use of the Guide is complemented by the information transmitted by the museum guide and the use of other resources such as tactile models or videos.
Regarding the Guidebook, the person responsible for the museum states that it is a very useful and fundamental tool for the museum’s accessibility, complementary to other forms of alternative and augmentative communication (ex. communication in Braille, tactile models).
According to the person responsible for the museum, the Guide can still be improved and revised, including new items that were excluded in the first phase of the tool’s study.The students considered this visit an enriching experience and the use of the Guide was positive, communicating the essence of the cultural element presented.
